Good Lord, man, can you remember the original point I was making? Or are you so in love with the sound of your own typing that you're losing focus?
The original point is that there are those who hijack religion for their own earthly evils. I've pointed to a number of instances were it has happened with Christianity: Crusades through the Yugoslavian conflicts. You seem to say that none of these were "justified by Christianity". In fact, they all were. How else do you think the slaughterers justified their evil doings? In the name of the Lord.
You claim that these evils are all in response to prior evils by Muslims. Good gravy, can't you see that that is exactly what the OTHER side also claims?! Everyone says that the other side started it; no one claims responsibility for the first blow. You claim that Muslims use Islam as justification; in fact, they use it in the same 'eye for an eye' justification that the Christians have used.
You think that bin Laden just believes that Christians should be destroyed for being Christians? Like Bush's "they hate us because we're free" bullshit? Exactly HOW naive (or dishonest) are you? They claim that their murder is in response to prior offenses, by Israel, the US, and other prior colonial powers. They claim they are only defending themselves from OUR "vile race". They claim that the Lord smiles on them, because they are in a just cause. Just as Christians in prior wars have.
I'm not sure if you're playing with me with your half baked arguments, or if you're a can't-see-the-trees sort of guy. Either way, it's time to wake up and smell the latte. Your self delusion will get you (and me) killed.
