Important update: REFR stock fraud Two of the most prolific posters and frequent monitors of the Yahoo REFR message board are Florida residents Alex Martinez and his wife, So-Young Kim.
I have actually known about their message board activities for quite some time. I also know that Alex Martinez and his wife have colluded with executives at Research Frontiers to fraudulently promote the stock.
Many of you recognize Mr. Martinez as the "head of engineering and new product development" of Inspectech Aero Service - a tiny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida aircraft maintenance concern. Alex Martinez, Inspectech president Jim Lang and Research frontiers insiders were involved in the now infamous aircraft-window promotion which continues to this day.

What many of you did not realize; however, was that Mr. Martinez and his wife set up the web site and empty "shell" corporation "SPD-Systems, Inc." - ostensibly doing business in South Florida. Mr. Martinez is president of SPD-Systems, Inc. However, you will not find mention of this fact in any press releases; instead, his wife is quoted as "vice president of sales and marketing". No mention is made of their relationship.

In similar fashion to Research Frontiers fraudulent promotion of shell company "Razor's Edge" through a amateurish web site, Mr. and Mrs. Martinez also set up a web site for their shell company:
spd-systems.com
Shell company "SPD-Systems, Inc." has engaged in no meaningful economic activity, save two foreign name registrations (for the state of Delaware, one now expired) filed with the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations. Note that there are no annual reports.

Heare are direct links to the images of spd-systems corporate filings. Alex Martinez signs as "President" in both. (You will require software that can read/view tiff images).

Bob Saxe was accompanied by senior executives at several of our licensees, who flew in for the ceremony and to meet with each other as a group and individually to discuss supply schedules, SPD performance specifications, and ways to work together for mutual benefit. Byoung Chan Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Hankuk Glass Industries' SPD Inc. subsidiary, flew in from Korea. Representing InspecTech Aero Service was its President, James Lang, its head of InspecTech's SPD aircraft window product development team, Alex Martinez, and Mr. Martinez' wife, So-Young Kim, who was gracious enough to attend and facilitate communications. Flying in from Louisville, Kentucky for these meetings and the ceremony was Larry Smith, President of ThermoView Industries. Also in attendance were many of our friends, family, shareholders, analysts, and senior executives from Nasdaq. We would like to thank all who were able to share this special event with us.
