My big question is why were those photographs not confiscated and why they were released to the media after all it hurt US security

You want to sweep it all under the rug and pretend it did not happen?

Rememeber the ENTIRE reason for the war was a lie about WOMDs. We changed that to "Hussein totured his country" after the lie was exposed.

Then we go over there and do the same thing.
Exactly how much more worldwide hatred of the US did this stir up? More than any benefit from "saving" the people of Iraq from Hussein? Iraq was no threat to the US (absolutely 100% true statement based on what we now know for sure about WOMDs and nuclear programs), our only possible reasons for this war was humanitarian. Not exactly justified by international law. Next that humanitarian reason blows up when we do what we did. Rumsfeld did not care until there were pictures. The fact that there were pictures shows just how stupid we were.

Biggest international mistake since Vietnam. No guarantee any new leader of Iraq will be any better than Hussein.

One more thing:
I think many Iraqis are getting tired of us killing and torturing them in order to "save" them. Tell me how this war effort could possibly have gone worse. I never argued that getting rid of Hussein was a bad idea, just that starting a war to do it was. I have been proven correct.
