Senate groupie Theresa Heinz makes a particularly damaging spokesman for any movement she chooses to "help". Kerry may have to settle for his eighth choice for a running mate. No Democrat who still thinks of himself as having a future would touch that campaign. Of course, few if any Democrats HAVE a future. Joe Leiberman, despite his unfortunate record, since impeachment, of left wing hypocrisy, was sincere yesterday. A single voice of sanity rising out of yesterday's Senate political equivalent of the WTC bombings. If there is anything left in the rubble of his party after the November disaster, they may be able to turn to him as a potential beginning of a new LOYAL opposition. The surprise of the coming post-Democrat era will be the almost immediate collapse and disappearance of the old Clinton political "base". Joe may be able to fill the vacuum...
