mish you are raising several question which I do not think would like to go into. One thing is clear - great concept + great military execution ... failed because we (the US ) were unprepared for the success and misjudged the political outcome and assumed that ALL Iraqis are the same or similar to the Kurds or Assyrians. failed to understand internal politics and feuds with in the Sunni Shia and the influences of Iran and the extend of religious fanaticism and Iraqi greater family bonds loyalty and structure .... and add to that that the US military fell into the trap of the various rivalries and feuds if ancient or recent …. as small as debt between Iraqis who faked photographs of the party he wanted punish as terrorist with a RPG or Kalashnikov
