Well...

in that particular instance I do not agree with your assessment...

however, having said that...

anyone who thinks of a bottle of Pouilly Fuisse cannot be 'passed' puts his wine taste in the questionable column as PF tends to be along the lines of a Chablis... i.e. rather 'thin and steely' in its taste... not that it is bad, it is just that it is not as good as a Mersault, or a Pouligny Montrachet, which are much more interesting and complex white Burgundies.

of course, if the choice is caca cola or the like... then clearly PF wins hands down... -g

then again... when it comes to wines, it is a matter of taste...

Red Australians excepted as those ought to be deemed non-drinkable along the lines of toxic waste...

with a thousand pardons to the Australian growers... they have terrific real estate, but they need a generation of Italian, Spanish and French vintners before thay can produce any good reds. Their Syrah (not to be confused with Petit Sirah -or Duriff) is wine for Vikings, needed after those epic battles... -g

(Australian whites and particularly Chardonnays are ok)
