Unfortunately, we didn't have a choice about being involved in Iraq.

We always have choices.

At present, we should continue the policy of attempting to help Iraqis establish a democratic gov't.

Agreed, but I think that the Kerry plan for Iraq is the best plan. And it appears that Bush has been morphing his plan to the Kerry plan.

Kerry voted for the $87B before he voted against it.

Kerry voted to pay for the war...instead of putting it on the credit card and running up the deficit further.

He was before the Iraq war before he was against it.

Kerry voted for authorization for the war. This was after Bush assured him that we would have an international UN coalition such as we had in 1991.

He volunteered for VN before he was against that.

Almost everyone could see that the war in VN was a mistake, even Robert McNamera said it was a mistake.
