Not sure why you were aghast, Karen. That's a pretty good representation of what happened for the entire 3 hours. I saw only a couple of short clips of it but I imagine that article captured it pretty well. I am a fan of that writer. My "aghast" was over the Post's printing something so, er, colorful as straight news. When I read it, I assumed it was from the hard news section of the paper, where it clearly didn't belong. You don't say "It was a humane flogging, as these things go" on the front page. When I went looking for an explanation, I found that it was a Style article, a rather good one, I thought.
