I know about China, but Bush-Cheney promised in 2000 to use their huge clout in the oil business to jawbone OPEN into bringing down prices. Many people voted for them for that reason. Instead, we have had more and more gouging and they do nothing about it, absolutely nothing. Haven't jawboned one bit except maybe to keep the prices high. High energy prices make Texan oilmen very happy.
