What are you talking about? No one is lowering the standards that we judge them to. We judged them guilty of 9/11 and have strongly responded. And you can be sure that every effort is being made to punish those involved in Fallujah. And Lieberman has a problem with an apology for act that is clearly bad? Because 9/11 was worse?

Look, I think you have lost perspective. Some things are clearly bad, there is no fuzzy line and there should be no lame duck excuses. This was one of those cases. We should be man enough to recognize it instead of acting confused like Lieberman. We should hold our values and principals regardless of which way the wind is blowing.

To me, people trying to justify this by saying "they" have done worse things is as puzzling to me as when people tried to justify Clinton's behavior with the sex scandal.
