Republican President's wives have for the most part been fairly ordinary in their demeanor and very oriented toward public service projects and causes for American people-------similar to the many American women who care for their families, have jobs and also attend to the community service endeavors.

Whereas, with the Dems the dynasty image started with Jacqueline Kennedy----the Camelot images.

Then there was Rosalyn Carter----who was the steel magnolia----who appeared to be as involved as Pres. Carter in the office of the Presidency.

Then there was Hilary who appeared to many to be the mastermind behind Bill Clinton's climb to President. And, then managed the climb to New York.

In America, we elect the President; however, make no mistake about it when one elects the President you also elect a President's wife or husband(if it should happen). As a potential President's wife Kerry's wife should be scrutinized carefully just as George Bush's wife Laura has been.

The fact is that a team is elected. And, yes the Vice President is elected also-----however, the Vice President does not sleep with the President. It is the wife who is closest to the President. For that reason a Presidential Candidate's wife's life must also be open to review and examination.
