Actually, there is an oil shortage, of a sort. The war effort is using much more oil than would be consumed otherwise. Venezuela's oil supply has been seriously compromised by the political climate in that country, and Saudi Arabia, is withholding shipments of oil for reasons known only to them.
No president sets the prices of gasoline. If you would get off your fat ass, and travel around, you would find that gas prices fluctuate from state to state, by as much a $.30 a gallon. I have, personally, witnessed that during this last week, and many times in the past.
