you can get whiplash reading Friedman's columns from day to day:

Makes you feel like sending him an email saying, "Tom, don't write your columns when you are upset." I was remembering as I read it that this is a man who, as a boy, was a Zionist who went to Israel and live and worked on a Kibbutz. Lebanon really soured him on Israel.
