How many new jobs really? Greetings Jay, You'll enjoy this - How many of the 288,000 rise in payrolls from last week's (April's) report came from a statistical extrapolation of the birth/death model (also known as the plug factor) rather than a tangible increase in the job head count? 270,000 of 288,000.
