They asked the same questions several times because the president was evasive. It is their job to go after him when he appears to be telling less than the truth, since we are allegedly living in an open society in which our politicians are accountable to us. I hope the public cares about that. Obviously this press conference was susceptible to partisan interpretation. I thought it was the first time when the press appeared to be doing their job, and you thought all they were doing was asking "stupid questions". Obviously we are on either side of the great polarized divide in American politics. That's very interesting.
