Bush-Cheney and their people have lied to Americans repeatedly about very-very important issues like why we had to invade Iraq, WMD's, 9-11 intelligence, cost of Medicare, energy crises gouging, Al Qaida-Saddam connections, outing CIA agent, jobs losses, budget, cost of war, going AWOL in 1972, every antiKerry TV ad etc. etc.
Yes, 33 years ago Kerry fudged the truth on medals vs. ribbons in one TV interview. He may have even lied deliberately to exaggerate his importance as many immature people do. Remember he was a very young and angry man, and he was not a public servant who had taken an oath. JK considers honesty and frankness very important and will always do his best to deliver both.
So the Bushies have to go back 33 years to find a lie of JK's. Problem for Bushies is, their guys continue lying to this very day, every day.
Kerry is a very honest man. Does he have to make this more clear and quit splitting hairs sometimes? Yes, but that is just a trivial matter.
Remember what Theresa's SUV issue is really all about, the pro-polluting industry Republicans trying to stop Kerry from talking about the gravity of the environmental and energy situation under the worst environmental president in history. Does John own a SUV? No, but even if his wife's family owns 10 of them it doesn't matter. This country needs to get out of the grip of Big Oil and the polluting industries which are Cheney-Bush's biggest supporters. Right now we have government for Big Oil by Big Oil and it has to stop. |
