I'm not sure I follow your connection between the apparent false flag aspects of the 9/11 hijackers, and torturing POWs at Abu Ghraib.

Anyone who has been reading the news (as opposed to watching TV) over the past year should be aware the US military has been torturing POWs, sometimes to death, in order to acquire intelligence. While the practice should raise legal and moral questions in any right thinking person, not to mention drawing attention to the obvious hypocrisy of the Bush Cartel's sham claim to honorable intentions toward Iraqis, it's basically a non event. Anyone who believes a professional military unit, engaged in war, is going to observe Marquis of Queensberry Rules when the lives of their own people are at stake, is looking at the world through rose colored glass. What a surprise. Human nature includes a dark side. Most days civilization provides a convenient veneer to allow us to hide from the fact it wasn't so many years ago we climbed down from the trees to begin bashing each other over the head with some critter's leg bone.

So Private Lynch becomes a hero for not following orders and getting hurt as a result of not being where her unit was ordered to go. And Private England becomes a demon for following orders at her assigned post. Very sad. Very unfair. Lynch should have been court marshaled and England should have gotten a ribbon, at least if performing the duties assigned by one's commanders is any gauge of merit.

It all makes for emotional sideshows to divert everyone's attention away from the fact Bush and his partners in crime should have been impeached, then placed in front of a firing squad for treason.
