Kerry people prefer to debate the issues and issues only. But rightwingers immediately try to change the subject, go into personal slander mode, lie, accuse and exaggerate. Their favorite methods are to challenge one's patriotism. Or to blame Clinton, as if just because he had a sex affair he was some kind of failure. On the contrary. They like to slander Kerry's war record or attack his wife. Teddy Kennedy is another good subject changer. Or saying accusing Kerry of being unacceptably "liberal". Just a lot of phony stuff. We may never get Bushies to debate real issues. Therefore, if they insist on throwing trash, we talk to the people one issues, while kicking their own trash back in their faces. Since they have waged their campaign based on lies the trash sticks to their faces, but not ours. Kerry can successfully run on his record and policies, Bush cannot. In the end, that will decide the election and the trash will all fall by the wayside.
