I agree with you that disobeying orders is not easy. But is also not impossible. And it is also a duty.

I can understand that some of the soldiers in the prison choose the easy option and 'joined the group'. But don't whine when it leads to charges when the whole thing gets investigated. Be a man, stand for what you have done and face the facts.

Don't come up with arguments that you didn't know it was wrong to let prisoners masturbate in front of cameras, that killing prisoners is wrong, that videotaping rape of young Iraqi prisoners is wrong and sofort.

You can even expect a random visitor at a Jerry Springer-audience to know that this is wrong.

I said it before, someone is responble for his own deeds. We all make mistakes, no problem. Just face the consequences when it happens, and don't whine or fingerpoint at others.
