"You think OBL wants the US to be an "honest broker"? "

No of course not Nadine. You must try not to be quite so...how can I say this politely....quite so...opaque.

Osama per se is not a problem. He's old man in a cave. Osama as symbol and inspiration is a problem.

What Osama wants is for that thug Sharon to murder people in wheelchairs, and for that dolt Bush to invade Arab countries. These are the actions that set young Arab men in motion, and have the chance of causing some damage, tho' their danger is to us ( or Spain) is overblown. They can do some harm to invidividuals who might be in the wrong place and the wrong time. On the other hand, they are a real threat to places like Saudi Arabia.

The reason that the U.S. should be an honest broker in the Mideast is because to do so is in the interest of the United States.
