Stephen: Actually, it is the LS-120 that is all Hype and no reality. For example, try to buy one. As for storage speed not mattering, you are wrong. When you try to copy 100Mb, it can take a long time. One reason CD-R is not a threat to the Zip and Jaz drives is that it can take hours to record a CD. As for power usage and suitability for notebooks, Iomega has shown (at PC Expo) a 15mm Zip notebook drive. MKE says it will not have a notebook size LS-120 until first half 97. This is not too surprising since they can't yet manufacture the full size LS-120. Finally, Zip disks cannot become a commodity unless everyone can make them and drive the price down. Are you aware of Iomeg's patent situation?
