Sorry to butt in, but I would like to understand your views.
My understanding is that conservatives on this thread feel the media has a liberal bias. By this they mean:
The New York Times, Washington Post, Network TV News, PBS, all the Time Warner stuff, and pesonalities like Dan Rather, Tom Brokow, Peter Jennings, Ted Koppel, all the 60 minutes folks, Tom Friedman, Maureen Dowd, and the great majority of the Journalism Schools, and probably more recently they would include George Wills.
This bias is then compared to (I am presuming) voices on the conservative side, to include:
Clear Channel Communications, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News (including all the Fox media components), the Wall Street Journal, Commentary Magazine, William Kristol, Willaim safire, Norman Podhoretz, William F Buckley, Laura Ingram, Drudge and all the Intenet bloggers.
I admit my listing is probably skewed based on my understanding of the situation.
So if you could, so I could understand, what you mean by liberal bias in the media and your examples of fair, balanced, and responsible journalism. |
