Barron's highlights a senior portfolio manager's picks : Barron's interviews Christopher McHugh, a senior portfolio manager and a principal of Turner Investment Partners, for his stock picks. The investment firm oversees more than $13 bln in assets, including nine mutual funds. "We could see growth opportunities emerging in other non-tech sectors and felt diversification was our best option," says Mr. McHugh, the new fund's lead portfolio manager. In 2003, the fund generated a whopping 93% return. Many of the fund's top performers last year were non-tech players such as China Yuchai International, SkillSoft and Marvel Enterprises. The fund currently owns eBay and Cisco. Mr. McHugh's favorite play is F5 Networks. In the non-tech areas, McHugh holds Fisher Scientific, Station Casinos, T. Rowe Price, Affiliated Managers Group and Vishay Intertechnology
