Oh, I do get your meaning, and I am taking it to heart.

This war was totally voluntary, in the sense that we were not being attacked, and it's been rather interesting to discover that there was little, if any, risk of attack.

Nor does there appear to be much chance of actual democracy breaking out. I thought we would have people in Iraq pushing democracy, not hiding in Saddam's old palaces.

I am losing faith in the administration, and in the war, and the people who live in the red states, and your insights are causing me to lose faith in the military.

Bush has about 45% of the American people behind him all the way, people who believe that Saddam was behind 9/11, people who believe that it's ok to attack Iraq to secure US access to Middle Eastern oil, people who believe in "my country, right or wrong."

If he loses me, and people like me, he's lost the election, and maybe the war.
