For the record, i think i heard that this was cheneys baby and rummy disagreed or was somewhere between powell and cheney re: number of troops. I guess its all about bottom line. If there was no insurgency our costs would be far more reasonable. They gambled and lost and someone must pay. But no one apparently will except a couple of reservists and some generals who were obviously asleep at the wheel. I have a great deal of respect for Rumsfeld and to preserve it, he should quit. Mike
