The Nazis called members of the French resistance "terrorists."

You make an excellent point. The Germans visited our country, the Netherlands, during their European Tour '39/'45. We have a word for those who opposed the occupying forces. We call them the resistance. We honored them after the Germans left.

Those who cooperated with the occupying forces were called NSB. Still today the word NSB is a synonym for traitor.

It also takes a very long to forget when you have been occupied. Although we no longer hate the Germans, everytime we have to play a soccermatch against old war-sentiments come up.

On the flipside, there has been one single reason for the Netherlands to join the 'coaliton'. We joined the coalition because we haven't forgot, even after 60 years, the US removed the Germans (the occupiers) from our country. So we decided to join while on the other hand we didn't believe in Bush' war in Iraq for a single moment.

Regards,

Paul
