Oga, interesting question: What's the raison d'etre of the FED? <<When Volcker raised rates and reduced money supply it was to generate growth not to kill inflation.>> He did that to screw debtor countries blue!! For the next ten years debtor countries exported capital to the US. Perhaps now we have the real FED raison d'etre: Keep the US on top.
