"Moore has already lied about the Disney ban"

Only if you are the type that believes in the kissing cousins to urban legend, ie: the right wing blog or the corporate publicist.

If you read his story, it is quite credible, not the type of logic that one dismisses out of hand: Very unlike Rumsfeld, for example. Orson Welles or Terry Gilliam would (have) agreed with Moore when he states that "Let me tell you something: NO filmmaker wants to go through this kind of controversy. It does NOT sell tickets (I can cite many examples of movies who have had to change distributors at the last minute and all have failed)."

It's quite clear that Moore did not take Eisner's earlier statements as definitive, especially when Miramax continued to fund the movie.
