In 1968, while I was an instructor on the tower committee of jump school, and after a hellacious argument during which I threatened to quit the Army, a Major (my boss) took me to a bar and invited me to order my favorite drink. He then instructed me to plunge a finger into the glass and stir it up. I did as told. He then said to remove my finger. I did. He asked if I left a hole. I said no and he said to never forget that you are replaceable.

I recommend you experiment with the Major's test.
