"you are deluded
democracy is almost a joke even in Egypt"

You haven't qualified your statement about me being deluded. I demonstrated how democracy is at the foundation of Islam and how the religio/politico authorities have corrupted that notion...and that the average person of the M.E. is as culturized as you are to being against the notion of democracies in the M.E. (an education and culture problem). In fact, as far as I can see, no one has established a foundation for believing democracy is compatible with Islam until I posted to you.

Most people have the attitude that if democacy is ever going to happen you have to kick the Islam out of those barbarians. That leaves you with no option but genocide, because people simply don't change their beliefs that easily.

Re: "Mubarak the spokesman (a good man)"
That is one of the most corrupt governments anywhere. His term of office is limited. So every time it is near its end, his pundits stand up and declare an exception since no one could ever replace him. So, he virtually ends up with ruling Egypt as long as he wants. The military and the police are all the same federal organization. Egypt is entrenched in a very corrupt class culture that goes way back and even though it is forebidden by Islam the hipocrits would die rather than give it up. The haves live like pharoahs and the uneducated uncultured have-nots are grateful for any kind of hand outs. Being given the option of house servant is something they will kiss your feet for, since there is no government welfare system. The alternative is digging in the desert for roots.

The economy is totally corrupt, based on who you know that might have influence with the Mubarak govt. No different than how the kingdom of Saudi Arabia works. The whole system is based on influence peddling and payoffs.

There are a thousand jokes about who your partner will be if you are able to go into any kind of commercial business. Mubarak's son is going to be your partner. He is in everything.

Think I am exaggerating ... ask any Egyptian living in the US (they wouldn't dare say anything while they live in Egypt).

Speak against the govt. of Egypt/Libia/Palestine/fill in the blank, while living in that country as a citizen and you will likely disappear in the night. Speak against them while temporarily out of the country and you can never return home. If you do, you will be asked to "go through that door over there" at the port of entry. Good chance we will never here from you again either.

Deluded you say? hmmm Well, what I am telling you is verifiable so check it out. I am way more of a skeptic than you are about the M.E. culture and I know what I am talking about via personal experience. But, I believe in democracy, education, living a life based on principle. I also believe most human beings would support a democracy once they under stand that they are not turning their backs on fundamental beliefs about their God and their eternal soul; which is why I took the time to explain that to you regarding the foundations of democracy in Islam.

Of course if people believe (or you do) that you are going to kick their butts until they agree to change their fundamental beliefs, it is a lost cause. My point: Democracy is fundamentally in line with Islam ... Even if the Muslims have been educated and culturated to reject it for hundreds of years. That can change starting with one person getting it and spreading the good news to one other and so on... do you get it?
