If you like, please email me @ copiaassoc@aol.com. This 19 year old has just been in auto accident and almost died. Poem was written prior to acccident and any feedback would lighten her spirits, IMO.

The silence of your voice
by Narissaa Robinson

love is so sneaky, it crept into my heart so softly i did not realize until we came to part. it was then when love suddenly grew claws and without warning clamped around my heart. so stunned by this attack i look up at your sweet face as a tear rolls slowly down my cheek and into the crack of my lips. my taste buds recognize the salty bitterness but my mind is so utterly sick of it. you're lying to my right the only thought on my mind this whole day was this moment and to hear what you had to say. your hand slowly sweeps across the pillow case on accident, you then notice the dampness my eyes have left behind. You turn and look at me with those eyes i know so well. Watching as i roll my toughen across my lip to try and hide my tears. I'm lost in your deep blue eyes and try to crack a smile to pretend I'm ok. but on your face is a look of total confusion, you don't now what to do, you don't know what to say...you then open the door:my heart melts. my mouth dropped to the floor. I'm wishing you'd shout out "wait" as my palm hits the door...nothing. i longed to say "i love you" but was scared of your reply. Theres nothing for me to do now, so my lips will say goodbye. but my heart knows that its a total lie. so i will trick my heart into playing pretend with me until the day i die.
