Did I miss a year or something? I thought the elections were still in the future.

You admire the French position when they have twice in the previous century been pulled back from disaster (by the US) after making similar analyses?

If I'm not mistaken, it was France who denied airspace when the US needed to put Libya in its place. And France who muddled in Viet Nam for years before pulling up its skirts and running.

And it was France who was making deals with Saddam so they would get favorable treatment in his oil exports.

It's unbelievable that you admire France. The last time it had any cojones was when it sent Lafayette to help George Washington.

The Saudi royals are just like the French. They will always do the right thing when they need us.
The French, you mean the guys that made the right analysis BEFORE the war. And had the guts to stand to their analyis depsite all the pressure from the US.

If Bush had listened to them he would probably even won the next elections.
