elpie- well, it found a whole slew of crap that i got rid of - and i immunized myself against futures - and it told me that it would fight with the ad-aware program i've got .... but, i've still have had to reboot twice since then and once when i checked my system resources were down to 32%. you know how along the bottom of your screen there are boxes indicating which programs you have running? like right now one of mine says "SIResponding to M..." well, when i close a program, the box stays there - blank. i now have two blanks along with the SI box. i think somehow, these are still running and i can't turn them off unless i reboot. maybe it's a hardware problem. a friend and racing crew member is in the biz and has been working trying to fix the problem. its better, but its still there - lurking, waiting ......... to get me. :( -joser
