And I understand AQ's use of terrorism too, against United States' "repression and superior might." If you think PA terror tactics are leading Palestinians to the formation of a just society, great.

I can understand your need to simplify but there is little that is analogous between what AQ is doing and what Hamas is doing.

OBL and AQ are religious fundamentalists who do not believe the Saudi gov't is religious enough and they want to put a more conservative theocracy in place. The US is an ancillary target because we have military bases in what OBL considers mecca and we prop up and support the gov't he hates.

Hamas are freedom fighters..........they are Islamic but that's not their primary motivation. They want statehood for the Palestinian peoples. They are fighting Israel to gain that statehood.

I hope you can see the difference.
