Until the recent list of impressive film developers was 'confirmed', I agreed with you that there is something wrong. We always find out way after the fact what it was (streaky film, hazy film). There was always the issue of lack of multiple sources.
Now that we have the new film reportedly close to production by multiple sources, it is a new ball game. I don't see how it doesn't get into luxury cars or aircraft windows. Once one company does it, they all will. Unless something else goes wrong, those are no brainers as the incremental costs can easily be justified.
The killer app is, of course, skyscapers. If SPD becomes 'common', the stock price will start looking like it's being quoted in Italian Lire<g>! So they get another few months to prove themselves yet again.
The reward/risk ratio is the highest of any stock I know.

What can go wrong? Something new come along that's better and cheaper.
