But they didn't, we invaded and occupied them Just as they invaded and occupied Kuwait in 1991, and THEN agreed to comply with a UN sponsored cease fire agreement CONDITIONED ON SPECIFIC TERMS RELATED TO DISARMAMENT that Saddam had no intention of fully complying with. Bottom line, this war is a re-initiation of the hostilities that resulted from Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. Saddam CHOSE to be intransigent in complying with the cease fire accord. We gave him 13 years to comply... And we waited 13 years to do what WE SHOULD HAVE DONE IN 1991!!! Hawk
