Yes, Diana was her best last night, and fun to watch, esp. in the first song. I was so upset a while back when the judges started saying LaToya was the best and should be the idol. I suspected Simon of saying it because he thought he could make more money from her because she's so gorgeous.

From time to time, the audience will vote for someone out of sympathy when Simon insults them. That's the only thing that might conceivably keep Jasmine in. But that hasn't happened for a while. People have learned that Simon usually knows what he's talking about, even if he is gratuitously cruel. (Maybe since it's for ratings, gratuitous isn't the word; but it's certainly mean.)

BTW: It stunned people when Jennifer was kicked off (she was better than Huff and Jasmine and the redheaded guy, all of whom who lasted longer), and there were even accusations of racism. Here's the apparent explanation: it seems that on the AI website, in a chat session, Jennifer posted some very arrogant remarks. (And her manner had an arrogant touch, too, I thought.) (And her home town, Chicago had a power failure that night, so didn't see the show and call in for her.)

This post is certainly off topic. It happened because I came across a post of your when I did a search for 'Fantasia' because I was curious to see how long ago it was when I'd first posted about her. It was right at the beginning, in February!

I've taken to fast forwarding through everyone except Fantasia. (It's the only way my husband will watch with me!) I then listen to the judges, and if they say someone was spectacular, I rewind to hear that song. I sure hate what they do with the lights. You can't see the singers.

I'd actually go to a Fantasia concert, if I got the chance.
