I just watched the video of Nick Berg execution.

For every time our newsmedia shows what our soldiers did in the iraqi prison, they should be required to show what happened to Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl. Or at least to have links to it on their websites. Admittedly, it isn't something that I think should be broadcast across the airwaves. (I did just look on a couple of links to mainstream media pages, and could not find the video on them. Perhaps there is some U.S. media outlet that has it, but I didn't find it there).

What our soldiers did was wrong. Lack of adequate supervision and training is no excuse. They not only treated the prisoners with no dignity, they harmed the U.S. in an immeasurable way.

The difference is that our leaders are condemning these acts. Our soldiers will be made to answer for these crimes by us.

Where are the islamic leaders clamoring to get on our media to condemn what was done to Nick Berg?

It is important to be willing to examine our own mistakes. We need to show what our soldiers did. We need to face up to the fact that we aren't perfect. But that doesn't mean that we should turn a blind eye on our enemy's barbarity.

Anyone who could saw a man's head off with a knife is an animal that cannot be redeemed. Anyone who can find any justification for that act is just as evil. It wasn't an execution. It was an act of terror.

And the crap about it being done as revenge for what happened in the iraqi prison is bullshit. Nick Berg was kidnapped before the iraqi prison story hit the wire. He was doomed regardless of the iraqi prison events.

That poor family.

the horror, the horror
