I'd have to go back into their SEC filings to confirm all the information, but if my memory serves, the company was GFL (something like Genesse Fund Ltd). They were based offshore and put up the cash for convertible preferred stock with very favorable terms. I also seem to recall that another firm (can't recall their name), made the financing arrangements for both JTS and Syquest.
