Tis indeed a complex and bewildering story. How some 26 year old could decide to just wander around the most treacherous war zone in the world is a question that.... the Darwin Award people really need to investigate! This was a suicide by another name, IMRVHO.

And if not, the gene pool is just as well served by the results we got. For an ostensible smart guy, Berg was remarkably stoopid.
