I am still amazed at what can be done if people are willing. They are never as far apart as they think they are,

kholt you are on to something imo.

Israelis and Palestinians excepted, of course. Partisans work in the opposite direction, making the gap wider and deeper and harder, a fight to the death.

The divisions may be shallow or they may be broader than everyone thinks. This may have to be settled by an all out brawl in the gutter. That does not mean it has to take a long time.

If all outsiders withdrew their financial support, this dispute would find a conclusion rapidly.
