Are we horrified by atrocity in general, or just by visible atrocities directed at white people ? Well, depending on who this "we" is, there is plenty of time for plenty of people to treat the Israeli/Palestinian conflict like it is the center of the universe. This latest stupid Islamist snuff video will be quickly forgotten, but the world will never hear the end of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, will it ? It's hardly just the Aceh genocide, but Rwanda, Angola and sub Saharan Africa in general, the list is long of "out of sight, out of mind" horrors and there is no shortage of places on earth that could explode in the kinds of ethnic genocides that have taken place, though the USA may not be directly splattered [we weren't from Rwanda...]
