exactly. what i found particularly amusing about his statements was his abundant concern about "pricking the asset" bubble..it reminded me of greenspan's irrational exuberance speech but did nothing (i.e. tightening margin requirements) to prevent the bubble in equities.... now this guy is worried about the real estate asset bubble but dare not do anything to "prick" the bubble...has anyone ever talked of tightening reserve requirements? deja vu all over again i'll give him one thing though....at least he has temerity to suggest that there IS a real estate bubble... and seems to be acknowledging once created, CB's are helpless to really do anything about it without considerable risk ah the futility of closing the barn door long after the horse has run away... :)
