He did NOT say it was the worst year to be an American. IN fact he said: It would be sophomoric to say that there was never a worse year to be an American.

The difference between the terrible times heralded in 1860 - Civil War; in 1930 - The Great Depression and 2001 -9/11 is that we had great leaders who brought us through. Rather than lifting us out of the current mess, Bush uses it as his opportunity to enrich himself and his buddies while letting the US sink.

But if you think otherwise, write something to vindicate Bush. Write with passion about the wonderful things Bush has done for America and Americans.
