I agree with you --- at the critical moment one cannot see the action. Thank you for yet another compliment about Dr Kelly. However, and taking a line from his strange death, I have to say there is absolutely no evidence of blood spurting from the large arteries in Berg's neck while his head is being severed. I once witnessed the Kosher killing of a turkey and the blood from the neck wound spurted out so profusely that it covered the head of the animal. There is nothing like that here. Further, there is no evidence of blood dripping from the severed head. And, as you say, there is an apparent discontinuity in the film sequence which is suspicious. I believe Berg's body has been returned to the US. Maybe an autopsy will be performed (and maybe not!!) There should be one, but they may wish to "spare the family further anguish". Maybe it wasn't even Berg? Maybe no-one was killed. Perhaps it was all a Hollywood stunt? Time for Gustave to take over!
