I'm surprised at the lack of posts on this thread -- either lots of JBox customers don't care or aren't worried.

My imagination may be working overtime, but let me speculate a little, and y'all can knock down my strawman:

-Only two offices were searched, LA and Zurich. The problem may be limited to some sort of illegal international money transfers.

-The Feds didn't shut down operations, so the problem dosen't seem to be related to an ongoing day-to-day operation.

-JBox is trying to put the best face on the raid and resulting interruptions, but not protesting any false accusations. This leads me to believe that they were knowingly involved, somehow, in the nefarious activity (whatever it was).

-Similarily, some unnamed employees were subpoenaed. So, the FBI assumes that they know something. If they were participants in the activity in question, it becomes very important to know who they are. If they are some of the 'heavy breathers' in the brokerage, it will have a lot more impact on us than if they were just run-of-the-mill employees.

-The almost total lack of information, and no followup in the news sections or on CNBC leads me to believe that whatever was going on was also happening with other brokerages; the media has a fear of reporting it because it might cause a much bigger impact than anybody wants.

Time to trot out some conspiricy theories! <VBG>
