if greenspan is still sane he must make his decision on market sensitivity rather than anything else. Changing market expectations over the last 3 months plus the time till June should be sufficient feedback.

I was not convinced in the rate hike in June to begin with but market proved to be less sensitive than I expected. If relative lack of sensitivity would continue than there is a strong likelihood of a hike in spite of the fact that this is election year.

As far as oil prices there are few measures that are available to Bush......
