You are simply splitting hairs. The USA is fighting the War on Terror because Islamic Fundamentalists declared war on us Sept 11, 2001. Your picayune details are footnotes to that issue. Primary question is do we defeat al Qaeda ASAP or allow them to become an even more powerful terroristic force in the future? A vote for GW Bush means you want to defeat terrorism & believe we should get on with the job....a vote for John Kerry translates into support for a prolonged struggle with terrorists throughout our childrens' lifetime.
