I know this is a dated study, but I believe it bears mentioning again: The PEW Survey "Views of a Changing World, June 2003," found that religiously, the US is more like Nigeria and Pakistan than Europe, Canada, Australia, and argued this explains the growing schism between the US and Europe. How about our tolerance of Pakistan, too?
