so why don't I recognize any trend in the main stream media that I or any other card carrying Liberal can feel at home with? Because the left has a real crisis of philosophy ever since the core "central planning" ideas all went down the drain. Every serious critique I read from the left explores this. That is why you are seeing the attempt to set up Liberal Think Tanks to set an agenda. But the problem they have is that the structure doesn't work if there is no central core of ideas left to build on. "Take from the rich to help the poor" doesn't resonate anymore. Lindy Hop did very well in New Orleans when Dean Collins spent some time there in the late 30s before he went to Hollywood. Who is Dean? If you look at any Lindy/Jitterbug in the movies in the 40's and 50's involving white dancers, Dean is the lead dancer, or taught the ones who are. Jimmy Buffet did a lot of Lindy in New Orleans in the late fifties. The Music, by the way, is any swing. New Orlean's big dance today is Cajun/Zydeco.
